Chhattisgarh government would spend Rs 50,000
crore on developing infrastructure, rail corridor and telecommunication
facilities in the state over the next three years. The state
government is making efforts for the basic concept of the connectivity. It is
the basic key development issue for the growth
of any region. The development and
expansion of key services like power, road, rail corridor, telecommunication
and others in the next three years.
A masterplan which is focused on the overall Chhattisgarh development of the entire state mainly focusing on the development of the
villages and ultimately the farmers. For
the construction of the bridges and the extension of the roads about 25000 Rs
will be spent. During this period,
around 6,000 kms of 146 roads will be laid during this period.
Besides around Rs 9,500 crore will be spent on rail corridor projects of 537 kms.
Similarly, Rs 5,000 crore will be spent on expansion of power grid to ensure electricity supply, while 146 mobile towers will be erected at the cost of Rs 82 crore in tribal areas.

The entire amount for Chhattisgarh development had been allocated
and tenders are in final stages of completion. Regarding the priority of the
situation, the development works of the state should be completed as early as
possible. High level of transparency must be maintained so as to finish the work.
For the Chhattisgarh development in terms of industrial
development , the state government is inviting the bids from the global firms
like GSECL for developing and operating its
coal mine in Chhattisgarh. The move
comes at a time when the Centre is eyeing coal output of 1.5 billion tonnes and
providing 24x7 electricity to all.
With the main objective of ensuring reliable supply of coal as per
specified quantity and quality to its pre-defined end use plants, Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd has
organised an international competitive bidding to select a Mine Developer
and Operator to develop, operate and
mine coal from the Gare Palma Sector-I coal Block (Phase I).
Gare Palma Sector I coal mine located in Mand Raigarh Coal field in
Raigarh district, Chhattisgarh was allotted to GSECL by the Coal Ministry last
year. The GSECL intends to develop and operate the Gare Palma Sector-I Coal
Block (Phase I)in the most cost effective manner by open cast method of mining,
while ensuring reliability in coal production. With this the state will be able
to develop all the resources to its fullest.
